Gosport Marina is proud of the commitment shown by its marina and boatyard teams in supporting local front line services in these difficult times.
Whilst most boatyards have closed, Gosport’s Endeavour Quay boatyard has remained open to local police and harbour patrol boats to allow these services to continue to deal with emergencies and to carry out vital duties on the water.
Tim Newell, Boatyard Manager, explained “We are working extremely hard to continue to provide a service to the local police, pilots and boarderforce, whilst making sure our team remains safe and compliant with the Government’s guidelines on social distancing.”
He continued “For example, Endeavour Quay worked alongside its onsite tenant, UK Docks Ltd, to complete a local police boat refit and launch, this is essential work and we are pleased to do it.
The marina team at Premier Gosport has also shown its commitment in these challenging times by maintaining a supply of fuel for emergency craft and continuing to ensure that all the boats in the marina remain safe and secure.
