The Bare Necessities

Bare Necessities in the 180ton capacity hoist at Endeavour QuayThe magnificent Oyster 82 “Bare Necessities” made a return visit to Endeavour Quay in the spring of 2010 for a full top side strip back and re-spray.

Endeavour Quay has unrivalled access for big yachts; with no restrictions on mast height, deep water access and a 180 ton capacity travel hoist. The yard was able to safely lift and store this beautiful multi million pound yacht on its secure 4000sq metre hard standing in Gosport, UK.

The painting contractors, Blue Fin Yachts Ltd from Cornwall and the Skipper and crew were all comfortably housed for the duration ashore at a local crew house close to the boatyard provided by crew-houses.co.uk.  After 40 layers of paint and some routine annual maintenance she was ready to go afloat again on the 1st May.

“Bare Necessities” is now back in the water and spending the summer season in the Solent where she is available for private and corporate charter.

You may have seen her recently on the ITV1 show “All at Sea” in which she took three celebrities Bradley Walsh, Mark Durden-Smith and Rosemary Shrageron a luxurious cruise along the South coast of England from Portland to Southampton.
